Parken Plus Betreiber GmbH manages around 3000 parking spaces in Vienna, Graz and in further places in Styria.

"Saving customers time and nerves" is how the operator describes its company philosophy on its website and, in addition to the Quellenstraße underground car park in Vienna, has once again opted for snart parking with MSR-Traffic and MSR-Austria in the Füchselhofpark underground car park.

MSR-Traffic and MSR-Austria - solution for smart parking

Ultrasonic sensors from MSR provide more dynamics and simultaneously reduce CO2 emissions. Ultrasonic sensors are used to detect and manage the availability of each individual parking space.

Matrix displays show the occupancy status in real time at the entrance and per level. In this way, customers can be guided directly to the next available parking space. This not only facilitates the search , but also reduces traffic in the garage. Likewise, valuable time is gained. The matrix displays in Füchselhofpark even indicate electric car parking spaces and visualise the logo of the operator Parken Plus Betreiber GmbH.

Matrix displays are very suitable for indoor and outdoor parking areas. The displays are used to show various texts, numbers, arrows or as an information board, e.g. to enable quick guidance of traffic.

This information is transmitted to the sign via a serial Ethernet interface. Furthermore, the displays are also used, for example, in stadiums, bus and train stations or shopping centres.

With the amazing visual performance and the modular design, this is the best solution for varied applications of traffic signs in indoor or outdoor areas; e.g. in the wayfinding, remaining space display, disabled parking display, electric charging stations (animated display) and many more.

Single space detection in multi-storey car parks can be implemented for an area, but also for individual levels. If a parking space is occupied, the ultrasonic sensor SONICI detects the change.

Data is passed on to the level controller, which forwards the data to the server. The evaluation takes place in combination with a parking guidance system, parking ticket machines, apps or the navigation system. You can see more information about single-space monitoring with ultrasonic sensors in this video.

The core of the intelligent parking guidance system - the ParkGard® Control Center (PGCC)

The PGCC establishes the connection to the ultrasonic sensors. In addition, it reflects the counting information on the corresponding LED displays in the garage levels.

It is also responsible for controlling the parking guidance system, storing historical data and compiling statistics as well as visualising ongoing operations and communicating with other systems.

The planning, installation and commissioning of the entire parking guidance system was carried out by MSR-Austria GmbH (www.msr-austria.at), an Austrian branch of MSR-Group GmbH from Germany.

From the idea to the turnkey parking guidance system.

MSR-Traffic  offers innovative sensor technology and intelligent parking guidance systems that enable counting and single space detection of vehicles indoors  and outdoors.  Drivers are quickly guided to the next available parking space via dynamic traffic control technology or via app. With  magnetic field sensorscamerasultrasonic sensors and state-of-the-art   LED displays,  the company offers innovative products and solutions for finding and monitoring parking spaces. In addition to the development, production and sales of intelligent parking guidance systems, MSR-Traffic also supports the planning and installation on site.
