Using wireless magnetic field sensors installed in the floor of the parking spaces, the occupancy status can be transmitted to the control centre (via the PGCC) via gateway and range amplifier in a matter of seconds. In addition, information signs (type ParkGard® RoadSigns) point out free capacities and ensure precise traffic guidance.
Central control of the car park monitoring system
In the ParkGard® Control Center (PGCC) a query has been programmed which sends an automated message to the customer via email if 3 adjacent parking spaces are occupied simultaneously within a short period of time. Thus the probability is very high that it is a bus which has parked across at least 3 parking spaces.
The intelligent parking guidance system for the climatic spa of Altaussee also cushions the parking pressure that has developed in recent years.
The parking guidance system developed by MSR-Traffic serves primarily to better guide tourist traffic and reduce the volume of traffic in search of parking spaces.

Wireless magnetic field sensors detect the occupancy state of the parking space
The magnetic field sensor with a detection accuracy of 98 % is one of the most reliable parking sensors on the market with a long service life and excellent weather resistance.
It detects the occupancy of the parking space and records how long the parking bay was occupied by a vehicle.
Since the vehicle detection system reacts immediately and reliably to any change in parking usage, it is suitable for outdoor parking spaces and On-Street applications and helps to optimise parking space management.
The simple installation only takes a few minutes per parking space.
The data from the magnetic field sensors is transferred from the road to the cloud platform via a multi-sensoric network. There, a sophisticated algorithm detects in real time whether a vehicle has arrived or left the parking bay.
Several sensor data can be transferred simultaneously.

The ParkGard® Control Center (PGCC) is used to:
- control
- visualise
- manage
one or more parking guidance systems from MSR-Traffic, Germany.
For example, it can be used to determine unauthorized long-term parkers or parking offenders.
Communication between hardware and software is carried out via Modbus-RS485/TCP-IP.
The PGCC is responsible for the:
- control of the parking guidance system
- storage of historical data
- compilation of statistics
- visualisation of the current operation
- communication with other systems
All configuration data, parking data and statistics are stored in a SQL database. The ParkGard® Control Center works as a web server and can be operated worldwide on any PC using a web browser, provided the local PC is connected to the Internet.
Further details on MSR-Traffic products can be found in the MSR-Traffic Online Catalog.
